American Gypsy, circa 1975-1981, undated

American Gypsy (Sub-Series 2.2) contains manuscripts for collections of poetry written by Frances Whyatt. While some of these poems make their way into the published book of poems American Gypsy, this sub-series largely includes early manuscripts for alternatively titled collections of poetry, such as Lost Love, which was never published in full. Other titles of individual poems acted as potential manuscript titles at earlier draft stages such as "Of the Flesh" and “Electra". This sub-series primarily includes works dated from 1975-1981, and are signed by Frances Whyatt.
