Historical Summary
Established in 1952, the Committee for College Operations was tasked with conducting studies and gathering quantitative data of use to report to other committees and academic departments. The Committee collected information on the distribution of classes students took within majors, class size, additional space for offices and laboratories, and class lengths, among other things. In records, the Committee is also titled “Committee for College Operations Analysis” and “Committee for College Operations Research.” Archivist assumes the Committee ran until 1954.
