Endangered Species Summit, 2009 - 2013
Scope and Contents
The Endangered Species: Preserving the Female Body summit was held in 2011 in London, New York, Buenos Aires, Melbourne and São Paulo. The summit aimed to help women and girls to stop hating their bodies, and it led to the Endangered Bodies Project, which distributed materials internationally for groups to hold their own events. Endangered Bodies is the political arm of WTCI and each country holds its own actions to challenge cultural norms that create body insecurity. This file includes preparatory materials for the summit, including brainstorming, and submissions for the Loved Bodies, Big Ideas contest, and planning materials for the Endangered Bodies Project.
