Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series contains presentations and writings from WTCI founders, faculty and board members, as well as student papers. These writings, which include drafts and finalized journal articles, among other materials, document the evolution of thought at WTCI as it developed a feminist psychoanalytic model of eating and body image problems. Included are lectures, presentations and papers by Susie Orbach, Carol Bloom, Laurie Phillips, Luise Eichenbaum, Lela Zaphiropoulos, and Deborah Luepnitz, among others. Subjects covered include food as a transitional object, anorexia, fat as a feminist issue, countertransference, and the relationship between therapy and feminism.
