Elizabeth Janeway Creative Writing Prize, 1955-1982

This series contains correspondence, submissions, and lists of winners of the Elizabeth Janeway Prize for Prose Writing. The Elizabeth Janeway Prize for Prose Writing was awarded annually, for a work of prose, whether fiction or non-fiction, which gave the greatest evidence of creative imagination and sustained ability. The Barnard Archives holds records related to this award from 1955-1982; however, the award continued to be awarded after 1982.
