Historical Background

The Judicial Council, founded in 1964, was a nine-member committee of students, faculty, and administration focused on non-academic infractions of the Rules of Conduct (Barnard Alumnae, 1968, page 28). As of the writing of this finding aid in April 2024, the Judicial Council no longer exists. The exact end date is unknown.
