Historical Background
Barnard College’s student organization for commuters was named after the now-defunct # 9 train (a.k.a. skip stop) which used to stop at 116th Street and Broadway. This group provides services to support commuter life at Barnard. Skip Stop hosts breakfasts, lunches, and snack breaks periodically in the Commuter Lounge. (Barnard College Website, June 2025).

This collection consists of materials from Skip Stop, a Barnard College student club.
Collection Arrangement
The collection follows the original order upon receipt. This collection is arranged chronologically by academic semester. Additionally, the archivist completed high-level physical rearrangement to allow the digital materials to be easily integrated into a single system of arrangement. The archivist placed the digital documents, at the highest directory level, into a new folder with a new file name.
