Laura G. Levy Jackson Scrapbook
Collection Scope and Content Summary
This scrapbook was compiled by Laura Jackson during her time as an undergraduate at Barnard and afterwards as an alumna. The scrapbook has a narrow focus on Barnard, with no personal annotations or letters. The scrapbook contains a detailed record of her exam results, beginning with entrance exam materials and continuing through final examinations during her senior year. Highlights include a grammar-oriented 1890 English exam and the questions from Jackson’s entrance exam. The scrapbook continues past Jackson’s graduation, containing invitations from the college to alumnae events and articles from various newspapers about Barnard. The last section of the scrapbook contains articles about Barnard from Jackson’s days as a student. The scrapbook also contains newspaper clippings about Barnard and women's education.

Conservation Note
The volume was microfilmed. Treatment was documented with color slides. The volume was collated and disbound. The pages and scraps were surface cleaned, washed, and deacidified. Pages were encapsulated in polyester film. The volume was post bound in full cloth and titled use a gold-stamped leather label. Conservation treatment perfomed in February, 2007.
