U.S. Surgeon General Antonia Novello, James Room Introduction by unidentified speaker Novello (first woman and Latina surgeon general of the United States) Spoke of what it means to be first woman and first minority surgeon general. Lectured on the need for female role models. Lectured on women in medicine and women's health issues. During her talk students demonstrated inside the room against her pro-choice stance, although this is not evident on the tape. BC42b and BC43a are on the same tape
